Transportables

Transportable modules can be built on either Timber or Steel sub-floors. If a crane is required for placement on site, or it is known that the building will be relocated in the future, then Premier recommend the steel sub-floor. For all other applications the very strong timber bearer and joist system is ideal.

The one great advantage of using Transportable construction is that all modules are built at the Premier factory and transported out in sections. Therefore, actual time on site, depending on building size, is usually only 1 to 3 days, virtually floorseliminating noise and mess on site.

Steel sub-floor Information:
The Premier steel sub-floor is exceedingly strong. Stability and movability is made easy by the use of large 180 PFC “C” section bearers, with galvanised box-section RHS joists welded at 450mm centres.

Timber sub-floor information:
The Premier timber sub-floors, like the steel sub-floors, are extremely strong. This is achieved by the use of LVL laminated beams, with joists screwed and nailed in a ladder formation, producing an extremely rigid floor construction.
